As commonly seen in playgrounds all over the world, challenge yourself not to be eliminated from the bus in this engaging and straightforward 4-player card game! Your objective is to interchange cards in order to match them all in the same suit to attain the highest score, and then declare 'Stop the Bus'. However, beware that the player who finishes last will lose a bus fare token! If you exhaust all your tokens, be prepared for a lengthy journey back home!

How to Play

Each player is initially dealt three cards; then, taking turns, they draw and discard cards in an attempt to achieve a score as close to 31 points — with all cards in a single suit — before halting the bus. Forming three of a kind will earn you 30 points! Keep in mind that Aces count as 11 points and picture cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10 points.

On your turn (when it's your stop):

• Touch the deck to draw a card or select the top card from the discard pile
• If you believe you have a high score, tap 'Stop the Bus' at the bus stop
• Then, choose a card from your hand to discard, leaving you with three cards

The bus proceeds to the next player. Note that stopping the bus is not permitted on the first cycle; once someone halts it, each player gets one final turn before revealing their cards.

In a multiplayer setting, the contestant with the lowest score loses a token — if they exhaust all three tokens, they are eliminated from the game. In case of a tie for last place, no tokens are lost. Scores are tallied based on hand value and ranking (1st, 2nd, 3rd), after which the deck is reshuffled and redealt. The player who finished first initiates the subsequent round.

Scoring

Your hand score corresponds to the top score achievable with one or more cards from the identical suit.

For example:

• 10♣ 2♣ 5♣ will score 17♣
• 3♠ 5♠ 10♦ totals 10♦ (whereas 3♠ and 5♠ contribute only 8 points)
• 2♥ 2♠ 2♣ yields 30 points (achieving three of a kind)
